GENDER-RELATED STATE LAWS & POLICIES

We've compiled a selection of laws and policies that states have passed, rejected, or are considering, that impact the safety and dignity of women and children and seek to further entrench the contested concept of “gender identity” in our legal system. In some cases, these policies supplant the material reality of sex.

Laws and policies can come from the state legislature, via executive order, or through an agency's policies. Note that the legislative sessions for most states starts in January and ends in spring.
